INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEMS

Demir Kapija lies on the most important traffic communication that connects Western Europe with Greece, and through it with Turkey and other countries of the Middle East. These are the E-75 highway and the Paris-Belgrade-Athens railway line. Through these two main roads, all economic and other traffic flows between the countries listed, and in particular they represent the most important tourist arteries.

Demir Kapija through the regional road R – 109 is connected with Konopiste – Mushev Tomb – Rozhen, with P – 122 with Pepeliste – Negotino, while through the old macadam road R – 103 with Skopje and Gevgelija.

ELECTRICAL ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE

The power infrastructure in the municipality is composed of electrocanals of flow type and HPP “Doshnica”.
